LAYOUT: week 48

sharing with you my previous week's layouts before i begin another week....

WEEK 48: november 29...

we started writing on our christmas cards! the first batch is for our relatives and friend in the philippines and asia. we need to send it within the week so it can hopefully reach them before christmas. rafael and isabelle were eager to write short messages and sign their names in the cards.




and these are some photos of me!! i tried taking some pictures of my reflection on the mirror...hahaha. the mirror is not very clear because it is quite old already so you can its a bit cloudy. but i like how my pictures turned out!


did you notice that i am using my new camera?... i always tell my husband i am just testing it. hahaha... well... i have been testing it pretty often now!! ok, i'll admit it, i am using it already. i can't help it!!

WEEK 48: november 27 - 28...

november 28 -- first sunday of advent...i took a picture of the advent wreath at our church. wow...christmas is not too far away.

november 27 -- finally got the stuff sent by meg through a friend (lafarge employee) who came over for a business trip. you can see my program for scrapping, currently i am using an old version i just downloaded on line. our desktop was reformatted and i had to download a program to scrap. now i can install again this newer version.
the cashew nuts and the cashew spread are meg's little suprise for us! thank you very much meg for your thoughtfulness!!

WEEK 48: november 25 - 26...

november 26 - got the gift cheques for the kids!! every year my husband's company gives these to children of their employees. we actually use these to buy our kids' gifts. thank you, lafarge!!


november 25 - have you tried a freshly baked baguette? you really ought to try it. a freshly baked baguette has that perfect crunchiness on the outside yet still soft in the inside. this one we bought for lunch is really good! we had crabstick sandwich and some salad for lunch.

WEEK 48: november 23 - 24...

week 48 already?!!!! barely 5 weeks left and this project will be over!! wow!!
well before i get overly excited..let me update you with the latest on my side of the world.

november 24 - while waiting outside isabelle's and rafael's school, i took a photo of the paris apartments nearby. i think they are very lovely and well preserved. the facade is cleaned once every 10 years to maintin it's splendor.


november 23 - nothing so special about monday. i just took a photo of my 'mr. santa'. i bought this in old town san diego in california when we visited some friends there in january 2007. i was really glad it didn't break inside my luggage.

LAYOUT: week 47

i really tried to post my layouts for last week before i make posts about this week. more to come later!! i hope you like it!!

WEEK 47: november 22...

baby moira visited us today! it was the first time for us to meet her. my kids were really excited to see her. i was a bit worried that sofia might hurt her but suprisingly she was really gentle to her. she is just adorable!!

WEEK 47: november 21...

the cards i ordered arrived today!! they look great! but i think i have to edit it a bit so it fits perfectly. i will order another batch.


that night we had our 'parish-socials'!! yearly our church (st. joseph's) gives a party for the parishoners to get to know each other and have a little fun. it was a wonderful night and i really enjoyed the 'irish' dancing!! i did learn a couple of steps. too bad i didn't get any nice photos of that night. i am still waiting for a friend to send the pictures he took.

WEEK 47: november 20...

ok... so i guess more street cleaning must be done. leaves are continuously falling. its a lot of work!!

WEEK 47: november 19...

on our way to school (to pick up the kids), i notice that the leaves have been gathered to the sides ready for pick up. it is nice that the sidestreets are somehow clear of those leaves because they can really be slippery when they get wet.

and sofia was kind enough to pose in front of that mound of leaves there...hahaha.

WEEK 47: november 18...

my sister-in-law's wedding invitation arrived through fedex today!! she is getting married next month. i am really excited for her, she has prepared for this for over a year now. too bad we couldn't go home for her wedding... but the gift will be on its way soon!! (right nitz?? hahaha) congratulations to fatima and gilbert!!

WEEK 47: november 17...

my photo-albums arrived!!! i am so excited to finally get them! i ordered them fro photoways. they had a promo last week, buy-one take-one, so i took advantage of that. i am pretty satisfied with the outcome of the albums!!

WEEK 47: november 16...

finally done packing all of sis. noelle's things to be shipped. the 2 big boxes at the bottom will be shipped by sea, and the rest (3 smaller boxes will be shipped by air). i sent some stuff for my family (through the air cargo) and i hope it will reach them before christmas. they said it will take 10 days to get there. so if they will be picked up on november 21 and shipped out within in next 3 days after that... by first week of december it should be in the philippes. well, i hope it will work as planned.

LAYOUT: week 45

i know this is late but i have been really busy the past week and our pc got locked out. i don't really know how to explain it but all my (recent)files are here and even if i got to connect to the net using our laptop, i still couldn't work or my recently downloaded kits and recent pictures because i couldn't retrieve them from the desktop computer. a friend fixed it last friday so finally i got to work on everything over the weekend. i'll catch up soon...

WEEK 46: november 14 - 15....

november 15 -- the first picture here was taken around 1:41 in the morning! nitz scored higher in bejeweled and i couldn't sleep til i beat him! hahaha this is really nothing serious but it just bothered me. so i played a bit before i went to bed (...a bit meaning an hour..hahaha) and i got a high score!! highest score i ever had!!ok...now you can call me a 'bejeweled' addict!!

after lunch we attended a holloween party! it was a little bit late but my friend, maria, just wanted a reason to have a get-together. it was a nice party! thank you, maria, for inviting us!



november 14 --spent the morning practising songs for the mass. i decided to take a picture of the church where i sing!!
so here is the podium where i stand...

and here is how it looks like when you are standing at the podium. i have been singing for more than a year now but i still get nervous when i go up there.

WEEK 46: november 12 - 13....

november 13 -- sis. noelle needed to buy some more stuff to bring home to the philippines as 'pasalubong' so i took her to carrefour.

november 12 -- got some new addition for our tree. nothing too fancy, just more stars!! it doesn't really change the tree much but it gives me that feeling that there is something new on our tree.

and when the kids got home they did notice the new stars. i took of picture of isabelle with tree...

WEEK 46: november 11...

i am posting this day separately because i have more pictures to share!!

first, sis. noelle arrived, she was the guest we were expecting. she was scheduled to fly back to the philippines on saturday. she arrived early because she needed to pack all her stuff that would be shipped back home.

we also put up our christmas tree!!! it might sound too early but back in the philippines we put it up as early as november 3 (right after all saits and all souls!!), that is how excited we are about christmas. so in our standards i am a bit late already.

my husband tried to video us while we put up the tree, and the kids were all excited to see themselves on camera...hahaha! nitz took a picture of them looking at themselves at the cam.

this has been our tree for the past 5 years now... i am actually getting tired of it! but i don't want to buy a new tree or a totally new set of ornaments. maybe i would just look for new stuff to add on the tree...we'll see.

WEEK 46: november 9 - 10....

november 10 -- well, i started the day with a good cup of coffee and...bagels!! i was so excited about those bagels. the last time i had them was summer of 2008 (that long time ago!!!) bagels are not really common here. i found these in picard, they have it frozen. i wanted to try them and they were good! oh...and i put some philadelphia cream cheese (strawberry flavor) that my ate mel sent through tita tess. yummy!!

and for dinner we had baked chicken wings, mini-pizza and some salad! the kids loved it!!

november 9 -- another monday...nothing so spectacular today. started the day cleaning and organizing some stuff in the house. during lunch, i took a picture of sofia eating her noodles. she would get the noodles using his fork then she would put the noodles on her spoon then to her mouth...hahaha. that's how she eats her noodles!!

WEEK 45: november 8...

november 8 -- we attended mass today at 11am. then after mass we ate at mc donald's!! (the kids requested for that!!) then we decided to head to our photo-shoot venue. i was a bit hesitant to do it today because the sky is grey... very gloomy in paris. but since i don't have another time to do this, i decided to push through with this photo-shoot. so here are some photos i want to share!!
