25 May 2010: DAY 145 (WEEK 22)

the movers arrived at 7:55 in the morning (they were really early!!). i was surprised to see only 2 men to do all the packing... and i was so glad one of the packers was a filipino (whew...that was a big relief for me!!). i showed them the things to pack and they started right away. me and the filipino packer had a bit of a chit-chat.. it felt really good!



packing was done in less than 3 hours. they did a pretty good job packing everything!


soon enough all our stuff were outside our apartment...

all piled up in the lobby..

then into the truck....

and off they go to be shipped to our new home....

23 May 2010: DAY 143 (WEEK 21).. part 1

i have to make may 23 post in 2 parts because i have tons of things to share. do bare with me....

sunday started with the sport fest activity. nitz team played basketball first. here are some action photos of nitz..hehehe.


and then our team played volleyball. good think nitz remembered to take some photos of me!! so here they are....

right after the game we rushed to champs elysees for the celebration of moira's baptism. it was held in a chinese restaurant.. it was a wonderful celebration.

26 May 2010: DAY 146 (WEEK 22)

my little girls paiting our glass doors. they had their paint in one hand and the other hand pretending to paint. they were pretty serious with what they were doing...hahaha. love these moments....

24 May 2010: DAY 144 (WEEK 22)

another bank holiday and i am happy my husband and the kids are home. but of course there are tons of things to do in the house and it is not easy to do it when everyone is around(.... i don't why??? but it is more difficut!!). nitz helped me with the inventory of goods while i still sort things (endless!!!). i don't want to take a picture of the house since is it really messy now... so i will just share this picture of the bikes in front of our apartment.

23 May 2010: DAY 143 (WEEK 21).. part 2

on our way back home, we took time walking along champs elysees. maybe you have seen it in the news but let me share it anyway. champs elysees has been closed and turned into a big agricultural garden!! more than 1,000 your volunteer farmers with the help also of some professionals transformed that big street in one night!! it was really amazing! i am so glad i got the chance to see it...



champs elysees was really full packed that day... the weather was great and the scenery was amazing. and this cold drink was the best thing to beat the heat. after our slow walk along champs elysees (we were slow not because we were taking our time..it was because of the the slow movement of the crowd!!). we headed home.

when we got off the bus, we were again surprised with this street sale! i totally forgot that the street sale was today! so again.. we walked slowly home to see all the wonderful (and not so wonderful) things that people were selling.




and we got a dvd for 2 euros from a guy selling tons of cds.

we had the longest weekend ever. it was pretty exciting but tiring as well... thank God it was over.

21 May 2010: DAY 141 (WEEK 21)

i have sorted stuff...these are for donations to the church both st.joseph and st. therese.

these boxes i already filled with the things we need to bring to canada.


and this is how the house looks like eventhough i have already sorted and packed a lot of stuff. still a total mess..hehehe.

22 May 2010: DAY 142 (WEEK 21)

today has been a busy day for me.
at 9am, i had to bring rafael to the dentist for his last dental appointment. we finished around 10:15 and rushed home because a friend had to pick up some stuff she bought. when we got home, my friend was waiting already. gave her the stuff then i had to get ready for moira's baptism. got to church at exactly 12:30, the baptism lasted til 1:30. i rushed home because nitz had basketball practise at 3pm. but on my way home i dropped by the bookstore to buy rafael's book that i promised. since i passed by a street market, i decided to buy some fruits. i got home a little past 2pm. i gave the kids their bath and then i practised the songs i needed to sing for the evening mass. nitz left for his basketball practise. me and the kids left the house at 5:15 to go to church. i needed to be at church at 6pm so i would have time to practise with the pianist. nitz arrived at church just a few minutes before the mass.
it was indeed a long tiring day...

18 May 2010: DAY 138 (WEEK 21)

i am so happy to receive this from angelika!! this package is so precious... the treasure chest of our memories in paris. thank you very much, angelika for this!

20 May 2010: DAY 140 (WEEK 21)

for sale!!! i just found out that my kitchen aid is not auto-volt. i felt sad that i needed to sell it too....

19 May 2010: DAY 139 (WEEK 21)

i was so busy the whole day trying to unload all the cabinets, drawers and our storage to see what things need to be shipped. it is not too easy to do when you have three kids running around the house (hahaha.. no classes for them because it is a wednesday!). the most difficult part is sorting the toys!! everytime i put them on the 'to pack' boxes, sofia would take them out again and play with them.
anyway, that evening i was so amused when i overheard isabelle and rafael discussing what shirt they would wear after taking a bath. i took a photo of them together in the bathroom.

and when i thought the excitement of the day was over... sofia pulled my hand and showed me her drawing. (this is the board i put away to pack but she asked her papa to pull it out again!!) she drew all of us!!

when i asked her who they are, she said "this is papa, mommy, kuya, ate and sofia." ( i labeled the photo) what a sweet drawing of our family!! hehehe

17 May 2010: DAY 137 (WEEK 21)

some packaging materials arrived today. i requested some so i can start sorting our stuff. so many things are going through my head ... just thinking of sorting all our stuff makes me feel tired already. but i gotta start somewhere somehow...

16 May 2010: DAY 136 (WEEK 20)

it has been a very exciting day for us!! today is the start of the CFC Sports Fest!! we went to the venue a bit late so we missed the parade. we were still able to see the cheeringn competition and the basketball exhibition game. after that we had lunch at the park nearby. the weather was really nice and the kids played in the playground after lunch.



around 1pm we went back the gym. there were 3 basketball games and 2 volleyball games for that afternoon. you can see here sofia cheering (not exactly for her papa.. she was just cheering..hahaha).

nitz in action...! nitz' team played on the second game... too bad they lost.


my volleyball team played first, nitz forgot to take picture (huhuhuhu). and the worst part of it.... we lost too. anyway... better luck next time for both of our teams!!
