24 MARCH 2011: day 83 (week 12)

its a beautiful sunny day!! if you look up the sky it is a perfect spring time..but look down and this is what you will see all around...the snow from yesterday. yup! still winter!! when i took the kids to the bus stop i took some photos of the snow around.



i don't know if you can see the shiny sidewalk up ahead. that is pure ice and is very very slippery..


ain't that frozen water pretty?..hehehe


when i picked up the kids. i brought my camera again hoping to catch something interesting. i saw this tree and it made me wonder if it is starting to bloom or those are still dried/frozen ends from winter.....mmmmm i wonder.


and my kids just before we went inside. sofia was pretending she was asleep.

23 MARCH 2011: day 82 (week 12)

and they said it is already spring....:(

i could not believe we have this much snow!!! it was like a snow storm (well, to my standards it was...hahaha.) it snowed the whole day and the whole place was covered with thick snow again. well...i guess we just have to enjoy winter a little bit longer...

22 MARCH 2011: day 81 (week 12)

we subscribed with netflix!!! sofia is really enjoying all the diego and dora episodes. i use to help her find the show and play it for her but now after i turned on the tv and logged in at netflix, she said, 'i can do it, mommy! i can do it!'

21 MARCH 2011: day 80 (week 12)

nothing much on a monday...
i just took a photo of the kids doing their assignments. now i require them to do their assingments in the kitchen so it will be easy for me to help them
(if they need it..) while i prepare dinner.

20 MARCH 2011: day 79 (week 11)

rafael attended a party. when we dropped him off, i asked him to stop for awhile so i could take a picture of him.... and he said 'mmmmooooommmmmmmyyyyy!!!!'

that's all he said but i know it means -- what are you doing mommy? why do you have to do this? you don't have to! you are embarrassing me!

but i know he understands my 'obsession' when it comes to taking photos...hehehe.

19 MARCH 2011: day 78 (week 11)

first day of my driving class!! i need to take driving lessons so i can take the driving test early. thank you to my husband who took this picture! (but of course under my instructions...hehehe).

17 MARCH 2011: day 76 (week 11)

this is what i call 'sisters-time'. isabelle is trying to read a book to sofia, when she stops sofia will read her book to her sister. sofia has memorized her dora book so she pretends reading it...hahaha. ain't that sweet?!!



and look what i got from the mail?... something special from my friend criscell!! finally her christmas card, and birthday gift arrived! hahaha... better late than never! thank you very much my friend!!

16 MARCH 2011: day 75 (week 11)

oh i forget to tell you that this week is my kids' school break (spring break i think...). what does that mean...? no pack lunches, no early morning rush, no afternoon pick-ups...but, but, but... more mess in the house..hahaha. i don't really mind. it is nice to have this break too.
anyway, i prepared extra special pancakes for them today!!

15 MARCH 2011: day 74 (week 11)

nothing much today...i am just happy to tell you that snow is melting and this is the only snow left on our front lawn...spring is almost here!!!

14 MARCH 2011: day 73 (week 11)

i finally got my book!!!




the kids were excited to check it out too!!

review:
- the book was not as thick as i expected considering it has 114 pages
- the size was overwhelming!! i never expected it to be that big (even if i saw the dimensions when i ordered it...hehehe)
- i really love how it turned out...i love how the yellow turned out
- the colors of the photos weren't that good. rating it from 1 to 10 (10 being the highest) i would say only 8
- good thing my layouts have borders so nothing was cut off.. but i still notice that a considerable amount of the border was cut off at the bottom making the middle layout closer to the bottom (not centered perfectly)
- but still, i like how it turned out. i might think of having the pages have extra border all around and not 'fit to page' next time

13 MARCH 2011: day 72 (week 10)

isabelle attended another party!! the celebrants (they are twins) live nearby so i just walked her there. one of the twins is her classmated.



when we got there, there was already dancing!! isabelle joined right away. so i left her there.



picked her up around 4pm. she had fun.

12 MARCH 2011: day 71 (week 10)

we brought isabelle to the bowling party she was invited to. the girl who invited her wasn't her classmate but invited her anyway because she likes isabelle. isabelle was a bit uncomfortable when she got there and she cried. so we stayed with her for a while until she was ok.


and when we got back she was happy. i think she did enjoy the game.


after isabelle's party, we attended mass then went straight to kuya ed's house for his birthday celebration!!


some friends of his eldest son came ...


fr. anthony and fr. fabian (the new priest in our parish) were there too!!


and some of my brother's friends came too: tita tess and tito carlos and this son joseph, jospeh and carol and their son cj, sis. josie and bro. edmund and their sons jason and ej.



and the party ended with a special prayer from fr. anthony for my brother and everybody who came to celebrate.




happy birthday, kuya!!! i wish you more blessings, good health and more years ahead.

11 MARCH 2011: day 70 (week 10)

preparing leche flan (or creme caramel or caramal custard) for kuya ed's birthday celebration tomorrow.

10 MARCH 2011: day 69 (week 10)

isabelle showed me this flyer from the school encouraging student (and parents) to have a 'waste-free lunch'. i think it is a good idea to encourage the kids to lessen the garbage/waste.


a college friend of mine posted in fb that today is the 100th anniversary of LA SALLIAN presence in the philippines. so i wore green and took a photo of myself and used it as my profile pix in fb to show my support. while i was doing this post i researched about it and found out that the exact date is sometime mid-june (97 days from today to be exact)here is the official site. well... i guess it is an early celebration for me. but the point is i am proud to be LASALLIAN.


and after half an hour (or more...) of trying to get a good picture of myself (it was so difficult!!! and after everything i couldn't even share the whole photo. not so good). sofia asked if i could take some pictures of her.

07 MARCH 2011: day 66 (week 10)

when i walked the kids to the bus stop, we noticed this snow on the roof. rafael said 'mommy look! it's like an avalanche!'. it was nice..
so as soon as i got back home, got my camera rook pictures.


so the snow didn't melt yesterday...


but today it is officially melting. here is the view of the 'avalanche' from inside our bay window. melting...
