WEEK 50: december 10 - 11...

december 11 -- today is our church wedding anniversary!! we got married in church in december 11, 2004. isabelle was baptized that day too. i prepared a simple gift for me and nitz -- a new pair of mugs! anyway, what we really celebrate is december 14, which is our civil wedding! we got married in december 14, 2002. well, too many dates..too many weddings .. and a very long story behind everything. maybe one of these days i will get to share it.

december 10 -- nothing so special today...i mailed the rest of my christmas cards (for us and europe). for dinner i cooked this chicken in olives and red bell pepper! it was my first time to cook it and the kids loved it! it is very simple -- saute garlic, onion..then tomatoes. add chicken. season to taste! simmer for 30 minutes. then add in olives and bell pepper. simmer again for 30 minutes or until chicken is tender! we ate it with rice... but is also good with pasta!!

WEEK 50: december 8 - 9...

december 9 -- me and the kids went to the doctor to have their regular check-up. the doctor gave me some prescriptions for vitamins. when we got home, the building care-taker put up the tree in the lobby! it it a real tree and it is so pretty.

december 8 -- isabelle's class has a fieldtrip!! they are going on a boad ride on the seine river. she dressed up really well (complete with gloves and hat!!) to make sure she will not get cold. oh...and she wore her new water-proof jacket. she was happy to have her picture taken.

WEEK 50: december 7...

there are a couple of things i want to share with you.
last week, isabelle has been coming home with this tiny little 'good points' card. she said her teacher gave it to her because she has been good in class. i didn't know where to put them. then when i found my small clips, we decided to put them all on our tower! so here they are...all four good points!

more or less i am done with wrapping gifts! i just have to check my list again if i covered everybody.... (which i think i am missing some people...grrr). anyway, i used elmo ang big bird to watch over the gifts. my kids were asking why they were there and i said i just want to put them as decorations too! and they gave me that face that spells 'w-h-y-?'...hahaha. sofia took them anyway and played with them.

i use newspaper to wrap some of the gifts. if i didn't get the store to wrap it, then i wrap them with newspaper and added some nice ribbons. i don't intend to buy gifts wrappers anymore.

and this one was given to us 2 years ago by the Sister of Carmel (in st. maur). one of the sisters made it!! sorry i forgot her name. she is really creative and she made this out of rocks!! this is the only nativity set i have.

WEEK 49: december 5 - 6...

december 6 -- still a rainy day but we went out to buy some more stuff and just walked around the mall (this is a different mall yesterday). here are my kids waiting for the bus.

december 5 -- went out with my son to the mall to buy some christmas gifts. it was raining hard but that didn't stop us from shopping (hahaha..). my son was nice enough to help me out..but he this is not his favorite past time. i took a picture of the tree in the mall, my son was not really interested.

WEEK 49: december 3 - 4...

december 4 -- my very first post in w&w blog site!! i didn't get to give away the desktop that i made...but i made a similar christmas card and that is what i gave away on my post. i am really happy that a lot of people commented on my post. i'm very honored...

december 3 -- during lunch i met with nitz to go to the bank and process some papers. then i was free the rest of the afternoon. me and sofia just walked around and checked out the shops. and just before i headed to pick up the kids from school, i passed by starbucks! i don't do this very often so it is 'heaven' for me!! what a treat!!

WEEK 49: November 30 - December 2 ...

december 2 -- is it nice? this is my very first desktop wallpaper that i made!! i am so proud of it. i wanted to give it away as a freebie in w&w but somebody got to do it first. anyway, let not this go to waste...i will just use it myself!! if you want it, let me know and i will send it to you!! i am more than happy to share!!

december 1 -- december already!!! wow... christmas is just around the corner! the countdown starts now.
anyway, finally mailed all our cards for family and friends in the philippines!!

november 30-- my two elder kids used to sleep side by side. isabelle didn't want to be alone in a bed so she wanted to sleep beside her brother. but now that they have grown bigger, we decided to re-arrange the bedroom to give space for the lower bed. now isabelle sleeps on the lower bed!! she was so happy!
