WEEK 51: december 16 ...

its a wednesday and nothing really special to share. i just took a picture of sofia doing her puzzle. she loves that puzzle that everyday we do it. sometimes she would do it alone! (i think she has memorized where every bit is places because we do it at least 5 times in a day...everyday!!) but othertimes she would want my help with it. someday when she is all grown up i will tell her this story of her and the puzzle.

WEEK 51: december 15 ...

today is a very special day because isabelle has a 'chorale de noel'. we were all excited to see her perform again. this is just a class activity (unlike the last time...if you remember). the event was held inside their classroom. the other classes has their own activity.
isabelle saw me taking her picture...trying to squeeze in the crowd to get a good shot.

finally...i better shot of isabelle.

now they are singing...i am just wondering why they turned off some of the lights...for effect? isn't is kinda dark..? ah well, what can i do.

they also prepared something for the parents--a card and some goodies!! so wonderful!

WEEK 51: december 14

isabelle got an early gift!! she received a gift from her school. she was so excited to show me when i picked her from school, and the minute we got home she opened it.

it was a book...her brother read it to her.

and today also is our 7th year 'civil' wedding anniversary!! i made a card and i bought him a tie.

WEEK 50: december 13...

we had our CFC (Couples For Christ) Christmas Party!
this is one of my favorite performances..these kids have talent!!

me, my kids and baby moira!! i was teasing my husband that this is how we would look like when i have my fourth child...hahaha. yeah..i want another child..maybe next year.

we did enjoy the party.

WEEK 50: december 12...

we all had our swine flu shots! the wait was only an hour so it was not that bad (because my friend told me she waited for almost 4 hours!!!). took a picture of rafael and captured a very good moment..hahaha.

we heard mass at 6:30. i sang for that mass.then we ate in our favorite resto, hippopotamus! this is our anniversary celebration.

WEEK 50: more of december 11 ...

my ever so sweet husband surprised me with flowers!! what more can i say... i never get tired receiving flowers. thank, pa!!

i finished doing my gift tags!!

Advent Calendar -- DAY 13

so let me share this with you today:

during the holiday seasons (in the philippines), we have what we call 'christmas caroling'. we form a group and we would sing to every single house in a town that we choose. we would then get donations (any amount was fine). we use the money for a project or whatsover... this was one of songs we often sing. but what is more memorable about this song is hearing my mom sing the second voice whenever she joined us in caroling. yup, sometimes my mom joins us (because i think i was only 11 or 12 years...and you know back then my parents were very very protective of us)! i loved it when she sang along.
i miss my mom so much... and this will be a very different christmas for my family back home because my dad is now gone.
