my kids are fans of 'the next star' and they have followed the auditions all over canada...and now they watched the elimination round.

08 August 2010: DAY 220 (WEEK 32)

sundays are usually 'no-activity' day for me and the kids...unless of course my brother comes to visit or invites us somewhere...hehehe. but this sunday is 'cutting-the-grass' day for us.
me and sofia at the backyard waiting for my brother as he sets up the lawn mower. she was giving me her tightest hug!!



and sofia wearing her brother's helmet...hahaha.



and me in action!! my first time to mow the lawn!!
please forgive that i am wearing socks..hahaha i know it is summer but i love socks! (and it was a little chilly that day...or maybe not according to my brother). and i have to admit mowing with socks on was a bad idea...hahaha.

07 August 2010: DAY 219 (WEEK 32)

my highschool classmate and friend invited us to their condo to swim.
isabelle wore her new arm floaters..sofia wore her body floater...and rafael has his board. the pool wasn't really too deep..actually it was perfect for my height!! but the sad part about it was i couldn't swim with my kids. my classmate was with the kids in the pool...but of course isabelle was still scared and sofia didn't really want to go with my friend (because she was not yet too familiar with him of course!).
so isabelle and sofia stayed by the steps most of the time...
but when my friend's wife arrived, isabelle swam a bit with her.

06 August 2010: DAY 218 (WEEK 32)

we invited our parish priest, fr. anthony, for dinner.

but the best part of the evening was the videoke!! it was nice to hear fr. anthony sing..



and of course grace sang too! she scored the highest and made it difficult for us to even reach her score...hehehe.



me and my brother sang a duet... hahaha. it wasn't really the best performance in the duet category but we sure did entertain the crowd!!

05 August 2010: DAY 217 (WEEK 32)

do you remember that i use to sing at church when i was in paris...? well guess who took my place --... nitz!!! yup! he is now a cantor at st. joseph's. the reason why i am telling you this is because in this picture i am talking to nitz and rehearsing some songs over the phone. i may have sang for the longest time but nitz has more confidence than me. he sings very well but never really had the chance to sing in from of a crowd. i am really proud of him!! too bad we will never get to hear him sing... but nonetheless i know he will be great!
