04 August 2010: DAY 216 (WEEK 32)

most of the time i go with my brother to do my grocery. we go to TOP FOOD, an asian store where we buy most of our vegetables and meat. and then we go to NO FRILLS where we buy the rest of the stuff we need for the house.

the highlight of the day's grocery is this box of mangoes!!! we never got the chance to enjoy these kind of mangoes in paris because they are very difficult to find (most of the time never found at all...). my kids love them so much!!! so i really don't know how long these will last but i just want my kids to enjoy them while they are in season...

03 August 2010: DAY 215 (WEEK 32)

me and the kids went to towncenter (a mall near our area) to do a lot of things...
1. do some bank chores!!! (now i have monthly bank chores that i cannot do online...grrrrr).
2. bought the kids floaters because we will be going to the pool soon!!!
3. and bought these for myself....

jake gave me a small hand lotion and i really love the scent. so now i have a matching body lotion and cologne! oh..and i bought a candle of the same scent for the house too...hehehe.

02 August 2010: DAY 214 (WEEK 32)

as soon as we got to cedar park, the kids changed to their swimming clothes! they were really excited!



but they didn't get to swim right away because the adults needed to prepare the food! the moms put all the food on the table and sliced all the fruits.



while the men (seriously...) grilled....



oh.. and sofia was also busy (pretending..!!!!) calling her papa and telling him that she was in her bathing suit already waiting to swim...hahaha.



this is one part in the water park... there were lots of kids here just enjoying the water sprinkling everywhere. and this bucket on top spills all its water once its full and people would really wait for it.



this is one of the kids' pool where sofia and isabelle played most of the time. i am glad that it is not deep at all...you could tell the water level in these pictures.

01 August 2010: DAY 213 (WEEK 31)

my brother picked us up to go to their house for some grilling!! my kids were all excited! rafael loves tito ed's bbq..hahaha.

the kids had fun making bubbles while my brother grilled.



kuya ed and ate mel finishing up with the grilling...



and we ate in the backyard....! wonderful dinner. thank you kuya!!

31 July 2010: DAY 212 (WEEK 31)

it was the last day of Our Lady in our house. we offered our farewell prayers and then raquel (the person in charge) took Her to another home.

the girls waved goodbye...

30 July 2010: DAY 211 (WEEK 31)

i invited my highschool classmate and friend, ronald castillo, and his family over for dinner. i made this for dessert -- rocky road cheesecake!



and these are my guests!

29 July 2010: DAY 210 (WEEK 31)

took a photo of a car attending the funeral of allen.



allen was somebody i don't really know, but his family and my brother's are friends. he was my nephew's schoolmate. he was only 17 yrs old.

one night (past midnight) he went out with some friends (all of the same age..). they went out for a joy-ride. the fun went too far... their car flipped over, allen flew out of the window straight into a tree 20 feet away. he was rushed into the hospital and was in very bad shape. he went into coma... but after a few days, his fragile body gave up.

i cannot even begine to imagine how painful it must have been for his family...

i just hope teenagers will learn from this incident.

life is precious.
