06 September 2010: DAY 249 (WEEK 37)

today is a holiday here in canada - LABOR DAY! my brother dropped by the house to give rafael a haircut.

05 September 2010: DAY 248 (WEEK 36)

life is so different again without nitz...

anyway, we heard mass. then we went straight to the grocery store to buy some stuff we forgot to buy last friday. we walked to church, then to the grocery store..then home. the kids wished their papa was here to drive us but didn't complain anyway. i couldn't drive yet. my philippine license expired 5 years ago so they said i have to start all over again. i have a 'student license' which only allows me to drive if i am with someone with 5 years experience.
when we got home, i opened up the boxes with our fall and winter jackets. it is starting to get cold here already. i also needed to keep my self occupied so i would not feel sad.

04 September 2010: DAY 247 (WEEK 36)

spent the morning packing nitz' stuff to bring to back to paris...
at 4:30 we took him to the airport...




i can't wait til he comes back....

03 September 2010: DAY 246 (WEEK 36)

we did our grocery shopping while nitz was still around to drive us. then after lunch we just stayed home.
since it was sunny, we let the kids do finger painting outside...

02 September 2010: DAY 245 (WEEK 36)

we visited the father-in-law of nitz' sister. he is only visiting his mother and brother and sisters here in canada. we were really overwhelmed with the food they prepared for us! (there goes my diet...hehehe). salamat po!!!


then we went straight to church to have our car blessed.
thank you very much fr. anthony for doing us this favor in such short notice....



and we took my brother and his family out for dinner...our way of thanking my brother and sister-in-law for all they have done for us...

01 September 2010: DAY 244 (WEEK 36)

4 more days left for nitz in canada...we are making the most out of his remaining vacation.
we prepared lots of surprised for the kids! we took them out to a nice restaurant...


all the kids got free dessert.... volcanic ice cream! nice presentation!


and the best of the day was when we picked up our new car! i guess you can tell with their smiles how happy they are about it..hehehe!

30 August 2010: DAY 242 (WEEK 36)

we went to my kids' school to submit some other documents to complete their registration. i really appreciate the friendliness of the principal and the lady in the office who is in-charge of student files.
after our appointment at the school, we went to my brother's house. we take the bus to go there ( and mostly everywhere... hehehe). i just took a photo of the bus. im starting to get used to the public transportation now...
