here i am posting my photo for day..sorry im late but i was (as usual..hehehe) busy. but that will not stop me from taking a moment to capture a moment of my day.
so here are my dh and dd...sound asleep. i tried taking a picture without any light (so i won't wake them up..) but it was too dark; then i turned on the lampshade to have a little light but it didn't work; so finally i turned the light on(!!!) in our room (gosh i was scared to wake my dh and wonder what i was doing...hehehe), and i got a good shot. so it is done... and they are still quietly snorring...

i will miss you papa when we go home to the philippines...and i know you will miss your little girl.

i am so happy i won a $10 coupon from The Digichick for taking part in their challenges in the site! so i used it up and bought some stuff. then i also received 2 $5 coupons from Weeds & Wildflower! i used it up too!! i am so happy i got a couple of new kits for scrapping.
and after lunch me and sofia wend to passy to buy some stuff i need to bring home. now i have this terrible headache. let me just finish this post and i will rest a bit. so here is my photo for today!!
was busy checking my emails when i realized my little girl was pretty quiet. so i looked around the room to see her figuring out how to put the diaper on her head!! gosh, she made my morning!!

oh my...i just hate handwashing clothes!! but these clothes have been in the basket for the longest time to i have to get it done. i know i should not buy clothes that cannot be machine washed (honestly i didn't check the washing instructions before i bought it). but i really think they are nice so i guess it is worth all the trouble.

i have put all the clothes that i need to bring to the philippines both for me and sofia. i just need to add in the 'pasalubong' that i will still buy. so tomorrow again!!!

i know this is a little bit late...but i was a bit busy yesterday.
this is a photo of my kids. while fixing dinner...i was reminded that i haven't taken a picture for the day. so i went to our bedroom to take a peek of what the kids were doing...when i saw them just sitting on the bed and watching tv, i grabbed the camera and took a shot. i didn't get a candid shot because the minute they saw me holding the camera, they all made a pose. everytime i prepare the meal, my eldest son is in charge of looking after the two girls.

so..i was busy yesterday figuring out what to bring to the philippines. i had to find out summer clothes because now all we have in the drawers are winter clothes. then i need to bring some files, the cables for the camera and the video cam, ohh...and the pasalubong!!! i hope i don't exceed the weight limit. preparing for the trip somehow help me forget the sad stuff. now i am excited to just go home and see everybody there! i know my dad will be very happy to have us all there. ok...so on to cleaning the house so it will be in good order when i leave (...i hope!!).

this is our ref!! full of magnets of all the places we have been.i love looking at them whenever i am in the kitchen, they remind me of sweet memories of our travel. i never get tired of looking at them. i am teasing my husbang that we have to buy a bigger ref in the near future to fit all the magnets...hehehe.

now after that light introduction about my day... the real part. i am set to go home on sunday, and i will be arriving in the philippines monday morning. my brother from canada will be arriving monday night. my niece from north carolina is still finalizing her flight but she will be arriving the earliest. i am very excited because this is the first time after almost 10 years that all my brothers and sister will be in one country at the same time. but at the same time i am sad because this became possible because my dad is sick. well...let's just look at the brighter side of things. my parents will be definitely happy that we will all be together.

SOLDES!!! that's how the french say it..which means there is a sale. we have a winter sale right now and it started last wednesday and will last for a month (if i am not mistaken). so if you really want a product, better get it now because they really go fast. but if you are up to realy 'low' prices, you can wait til the last week of the sale because every week they increase the discount on the products...but definitely they will not be free on the last day of the sale...hehehe.
today we went out to buy some stuff we need. we did find some good stuff. so here are some pictures of how the stores look like. this is not the main shopping area in paris..this is just a street in the 16th where you can still find all the main brands. it is in PASSY, you can check it if you happen to visit paris.

now, an update about my dad. tomorrow..or should i say later (since is is already 1am), they will be releasing my dad from the hospital. the doctor advised that it is better for my dad to stay at home where he will be more comfortable. there is really nothing much they can do about the cancer, they will just give my dad something for the pain. i cannot describe it more.... but just imaging what my dad is going through makes me cry. i will be flying home on january 19 to be with my family.

my little girl was so excited to wear her snow boots to school. the streets are a little bit slippery now adays because the snow that melted froze again and is now more slippery. so i suggested to her to wear her boots. so right after i finished dressing her up, i took some pictures of her.

isn't that tight?!! that is parking in paris. i was really shocked the first time i saw a car parking in a very tight spot and i saw it pushing the car in front and behind it. tell me about 'putting your bumper in full use!'. it was shocking, amazing and new to me. but now i got used to it. though i still get amazed when i see a car parking or getting out of parking like that.


honestly, i am really trying hard to get my mind off my father's situation. my sister confirmed now that my dad has bone cancer and it is stage 4. sometimes i feel strong about it but there are moments that i break down. i cannot bear the thought that my father is in pain. i am planning to go home soon. we are just trying to figure out who will look after the kids while i'm gone. we are planning to fly in my mom-in-law but it seems getting a visa will take awhile. but that's an option for us. or if it will really be an emergency, my sister-in-law from canada will come. i just hope we have a little more time... i hope we can celebrate my father's birthday on february 11. and we will be all there beside him.

today i will start my PROJECT 365. i will just write my thoughts, take a photo of something i find interesting and post it here...so here is my first day.

today is the coldest day i ever experienced here in paris. it is -6°. a couple of days ago it has been snowing and it was quite a lot. until now we can still see snow around. some people say it has been 10 years since this happened in paris. good thing today we don't have to go out. my kids don't have school on wednesdays, it is like a rest day for them.
but what really bothers me today is the news from my sister in the philippines. my dad has been in the hospital since january 2. doctors have been conducting tests to find out what is really wrong with him. what my dad is really complaining about is that his whole body is painful whenever he moves. the pain is on and off. but today the doctor said my dad might have cancer. more tests will be done to confirm this and to know how bad the situation is. i am just so sad to hear this news. i am still hoping that it is not true. but i trust in GOD and i know He is there for me and my family. 'Lord, please help us through this. Amen.'

a new year....

finally i am here writing...i have so many things i want to write about so let me just try to organize my mind a little bit - &é"_hjèé"_è_-&(-è&ç!!!
ok let me start with the advance christmas celebration we had here in paris last december 23, 2008. do you know that santa even wrote a letter to my kids 'authorizing' them to open the gifts early because he heard that we were leaving for the holidays. i think it was a nice touch...and i believe my kids bought it. (ohhh...please excuse santa for some errors on the letter, he was in a hurry... hehehe)


so december 24 we flew out to spain. it was a 2 hour flight and early afternoon we were already at malaga airport. tito boy and tita bubut were there to pick us up. they rented a big car for all of us to fit and what was surprising was they even rented a car seat for sofia!! from the airport it was another 40 minute drive to their house.
we had a very wonderful vacation there! we saw so many places and they were all amazing. let me show you some pictures:






we cannot thank tita bubut and tito boy for their accomodation and for all the trouble. they definite made our holiday extra special.

oh...and before i forget, it is snowing right now here in paris. it is quite a lot that cars are covered white. but still not enought to play with it.

and lastly... i hope my dad gets better because he is in the hospital right now. i really don't know what is happening. i will call my sister again later because more test results will be released today. if you happen to read my blog, do say a little prayer for my dad, that will be a great help. thanks in advance.
