WEEK 39: september 21 - 24

finally i am done cleaning all the rooms and the toilet and bathrooms. i will just clean the kitchen later since i still have to cook. we have guests coming over tomorrow. they are from canada, they are good friend of my brother. we met them during our visit in canada summer of 2008. you will know more about their visit in the coming posts.
meanwhile, here is the first part of my week....

september 24 -- my son started a new collection of books. it is called Geronimo Stilton. his first 2 books were gifts from our good friend Meg. when we were in the philippines (last summer) we discovered that it has a whole collection. we bought a couple of books that we brought back here to paris. each book is quite expensive so i explained to rafael that we have to buy them slowly. last night a friend from the philippines (who is in paris for business) brought rafael 2 more books (that i asked meg to buy) and Meg added 1 more book as a gift! rafael was really happy to have new books to read.oh meg, thank you also for the book you sent for isabelle and sofia!

september 23 -- can you see that small green truck on the sidewalk? they clean the streets and side streets of paris. they have small trucks to gather leaves, truck that sprays water to clean the streets and side streets, some that kinda scrubs/brooms other dirt and trash. i notice it is not easy to maintain the cleanliness of these streets. although trash bags are in every corner, people tend to loiter and throw trash anywhere, and let their dogs/cats just poo here and there. well, i guess we cannot really have a perfect city, but i admire the efforts of these people to make paris clean.

september 22 -- you can see sofia beside a container of toys. that container has been in storage for awhile now and i decided to bring it down for her to have something 'new' to play with. well, she got excited at first but still enjoyed watching her favorite show more.

september 21 -- my plants lasted this long (considering i'm not much of a 'planting' person)!! i am glad to see them still alive. but the past two weeks they haven't been flowering, but as you can see now, they have lots of buds!! i'm so excited so see them all in bloom in a couple of days...

I agree with JanMary about the glimpse into your life in Paris. Love every post and pic of you and your life.

It´s fantastic with the books for Rafael.

My elder son loves reading, too!
