01 May 2010: DAY 121 (WEEK 18)

i have so much to share with you today!!
the first of may is FÊTE DU TRAVAIL - FÊTE DU MUGUET here in france! i guess most of you know the 'labor day' (fete du travail). another thing celebrated here in france is the 'fest of the lily of the valley) (fete du muguet). it is really a pretty flower with a sweet scent. this one we got was from our caretakes...

they sell it all around paris on may 1st! you can buy it in small bouquets or in small pots.

me and rafael watched IRON MAN 2!! we both think the movie was great!

after the movie, we had some ice cream...yummy!!

and more muguet vendors along champs elysees...

after the movie, we met up with nitz and the girls. boss danny (our guests) met up with us and we heard the mass together.
we decided to have dinner at this chinese restaurant a bit far from the church. we took the metro to get there. and this is the photo i discreetly took. a young lady painting her toenails!!! unbelieveable...hahaha!!

after the 'all-you-can-eat' dinner, we decided to walk around paris. we walked from the resto to the opera (i was surprised to find out we walked 5 metro stops!! that was far!!)

it was a lovely evening. we got home at around midnight.... boss danny is scheduled to fly home tommorrow.

I'm going to miss your Paris photos! When you do leave?

The toenail painting was funny. Have you heard of the American actress Goldie Hawn? Years ago my husband was on a flight with her, and she was cutting her toenails on the flight. Now that is gross.

wonderful pictures - I´ll miss them too - but I´m looking forward to all your Toronto pictures - hoping I´ll see the places sometimes together with you!
The 1st of May is also the birthday of my son *smile*

More Lily-of-the-valleys! =) I just visited the blog of Flohbock, and she also had a lovely picture of these wonderful flowers. So nice that the French are celebrating 1st of May and the Lily-of-the-valley at the same time.

Looks like you had a wonderful day with your guests!
