the whole day i have been wondering what to photograph. i stopped by this bakery shop to buy the kids baguette, i just realized that this is my favorite shop and i should take a picture of it! so far they have the best freshly baked baguette and pastries i ever tasted in my area (16th). the name of the bakery is 'a la flute enchantée'.

one thing i love about summer...wearing sandals!!! happy to wearing this today. i think this was a good find from a street market. actually a friend of mine found it and bought it for me.

LAYOUT: week 22

another beautiful day here in paris!!
i finished my week 22 layouts! now i am doing my week 23...i wonder if it is incentive week at w&w....
anyway, i just wish you all a wonderful weekend! we will be celebrating mothers' day here this sunday!! we don't have anything special planned..i just want to spend the day with my family. but to all mothers out there, i know you have celebrated mothers' day (or maybe not..) but let me greet you again -- BONNE FETE!!
and to my mom:
i want you to know that i love you very much!! i admire your strength, your patience, and your good heart. i want to thank you for all the sacrifices you made for us your children, i know it was not easy. you are one great mother and grandmother!!

WEEK 23: 1-3 june 2009

i just removed the patch on isabelle's eye. it is really not that bad and the wound is really small. i put some medicine on her eye.
i attached also a photo of how her eye was. she first had the small lump inside. it was supposed to be operated as early as january of this year.the operation was cancelled and rescheduled for march. by march the lump got smaller, we thought she wouldn't need the operation anymore but the doctor said she needed to undergo it still. we went to the hospital march 20 for the operation but again it was cancelled. next available date was june 2(!!!). we went to a park in april, something happened to her (right) eye again. a lump appeared again outside the eye. we think it was because she played with the flowers. so that is the story of her eye. finally, she had her operation and no more lump on her eye....

i was worried the whole day for isabelle. it was not til 5pm that she was able to eat something. when she got home, i was surprised that she was still bubbly! i was so happy to see her. i know she had a rough day ....

1 june 2009
went to the park at around 10:30am. brought food so we could have lunch at the park. then we set up the badminton net so we could play. rafael is getting better at badminton. went back home at around 4pm. we sure enjoyed the day!!

Just got out of the operating room...

today isabelle had her eye operation. do you remember the last one that got cancelled? well finally they got it done today. she just got out of the operating room as we speak. nitz is with her now...how i wish i was there to be beside her but i need to take care of sofia and then pick up rafael later. but the real reason-- nitz is the one there because he speaks french (grrrrrr.... these are moments i wish i speak french!!!!!). isabelle hasn't eaten anything since dinner last night. i know she is really hungry. my husband said she just fell asleep, i guess she is tired and hungry. according to nitz they are not required to stay at the hospital for the night. i wish they can come home soon....

nitz bought this yesterday and i was really surprised!! i tried it today and the workout is really great!! (but tough!!!)

even if it was his birthday, he was busy the whole morning doing chores: returned a package to the post office and did the grocery. right after lunch we gave him our gifts. first i gave him rafael's and isabelle's drawings, then the photo for his office. he was really surprised when we took out the gifts i bought, the belt and the wallet. i am really glad he liked it!
then after attending mass, we had dinner at bistro roman. we waited for at close to an hour for a table!!! well, but it was worth the wait.

spent the whole day thinking of what to buy for my husband's birthday. i decided to get him a matching belt and wallet. i wanted it to be a surprise. so i hope he wouldn't notice that i left the house early. had to do it before i pick up the kids from school.
oh...after i bought the gift, i had to develop a photo of the kids. nitz needed one for his office table. while waiting for it, bought myself a scoop of ice cream!!! yummy!! had to ask the lady to hold it while i took the picture...hahaha.

first of all i don't know why this picture is like this...i cannot rotate it. but anyway...it doesn't matter!!
i am currently reading this book and i am halfway. it is very interesting!! but i am starting to miss edward...(sigh). i hope to finish the book soon.

WEEK 22: 25-27 may 2009

God does send an angel when you need one. we went to hopital necker today for isabelle's appointment with the anesthesiologist. they needed to see her a week before the scheduled eye operation (remember the cancelled operation last march?...well, we are schedule again on june 2). nitz was not available today but i insisted that i would just go anyway otherwise the operation would be moved again (!!!!!!). i decided that rafael would be my interpreter again and we would just try to get it done. but you know...cecile (our french friend) called last monday informing me that she was on vacation for the whole week and wanted to visit my today (wasn't that perfect timing!!!). so i just asked her if she could come early and accompany me to the hospital, and she was more than happy to come with us. thank GOD!!! the doctor we met at the hospital wasn't really nice and was so impatient! imagine if it was just me and my son..having a hard time interpreting and understanding each other, she must have thrown us out!! (or maybe not...) but i would be embarrassed. thanks to cecile things went well. thank you so much, cecile!! you are an angel!
when we got home she played monopoly with the kids and read stories to isabelle. she is indeed a good friend.

i cannot believe the day just passed by without getting the chance to take a photo..grrrrrrrrrr!!!!! my bad. i did accomplish something -- got my week 20 and 21 layouts done and posted them here! still... no photo. sorry... this will never happen again.

addicted to 24!!! our aunt and uncle from new jersey introduced this series to us when we spent christmas (2008) with them in spain. after a couple of episodes we got hooked up. now we are addicted!!! we just started season 5 and we finished 4 episodes before sleeping.

LAYOUTS: week 20 and 21

everyone is well now in our house!! no more coughs and colds...and fever (for me)!! i am so glad my kids are all well now. it is just so difficult when one of them is sick...much more if all of them are sick. sigh.....
the weather has been really crazy in my part of the planet...yesterday it was really hot and sunny, then it rained hard last night! it rained again today and a little bit cold again. and right this very minute it is sunny again!
anyway, i did get to finish my layouts for week 20 and 21. it is incentive weekend at w&w and i am really excited!! i am just waiting for them to open the forum for hodge podge 11.
