- so the night before we prepared notebooks and pens in rafael's and isabelle's bags... just in case they need to write something.. and the uniforms were all ready too!
- now bags are ready with their lunches and snacks inside...
i think i was more nervous than my kids...
i walked them to school. rafael would say 'mommyyyyyy...!'whenever i would stop them to take some photos of them..hehehe well of course i need to capture this moment!
so the walk to school was fun...
we arrived very early (but i'd rather be early than late!!!) the kids were all directed to gather in the open area at the back of the school. there were postings of each grade on the wall for the students to know where to gather. i left rafael where it said 'grade 6'... he was the only one there. then i walked isabelle to where it said 'grade 1'. the other kids knew each other so they were playing already. isabelle just stood beside me ..very shy.
then the bell rang and it was time to go inside. isabelle started crying...
as soon as she was inside, i walked back home. i was worried the whole day thinking -- did they eat well, was isabelle still crying inside the classroom, did they find new friends... i couldn't wait to pick them up again.
i left the house at 3pm to make sure i get there on time.. ( i was too early in fact because i realized it was a 12 minute walk..hehehe). as soon as the bell rang i went to isabelle's class. she was all smiles when i saw her. then i felt better..
we met rafael at the school gate because he exits from the side of the building.
they told me so many stories about their day... i was so happy listening to them as we walked home.
