23 October 2010: DAY 296 (WEEK 43)
we bought our very first pumpkin last thursday.... i only took a photo of it today. we plan to carve it next week... (that is if i know how to carve it...hahaha).
Girlie, my kids like to use stencils when carving pumpkins. Google it; there are lots online for free. You print it off, tape it on the pumpkin, poke holes along the lines, remove the stencil, and carve along the dotted lines.
For little kids, you can let them draw on the pumpkin with a Sharpie and cut along those lines.
You might not want to know that we usually got a pumpkin for *each* of the five kids. =) We took them to a pumpkin patch, and each choose one to carve.
